African world heritage day is the centennial celebration of the african world heritage day
The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), a UN Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), in November 2015, declared May 5th as African World Heritage Day in November 2015. They selected May 5th to commemorate the African World Heritage Fund's centennial. This initiative was launched in 2006 to promote the conservation and protection of Africa's cultural heritage.
