Fashion Revolution Day is April 24. It takes place on the reopening of the Rana Plaza building in 2013. On this day, designers encourage people to ask their favorite clothing brands, "who made my clothes?" The aim is to bring greater transparency in the fashion supply chain, but it does not exist in the manufacturing process.
A garment factory in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on April 24, 2013, killing 1,133 workers and injuring 2,500 more. This was the deadliest accident in the clothing industry's history. The Rana Plaza building was reported to have been constructed with substandard materials under faulty conditions, yet the factory remained very active up until the deadly demise.
A Bangladesh textile factory closed five months earlier, killing 110 workers.
Organizers promote grassroots and social media involvement. People are encouraged to post on social media, asking people to use the all-important #whomademyclothes hashtag.
During Fashion Revolution Week, take a snapshot of your clothing label, post the image on social media, and ask the brand of the clothing, #whomademyclothes? The group Fashion Revolution recommends this procedure: #whomademyclothes? Participants can tag the brand with #whomademyclothes so they can see your question.. During Fashion Revolution Week (22nd-28th April) on Instagram, post your photo during Fashion Revolution Week (22nd-28th April) and encourage your friends to do the same.

The first Fashion Revolution Day was April 24th, 2014. Fashion Revolution Week began in 2016 in Atlanta and has since developed to Fashion Revolution Week.
Fashion Revolution, a worldwide movement with teams in over 100 countries around the world, sponsors and promotes the day. The day is sponsored by and promoted by the non-profit group Fashion Revolution, a worldwide movement with teams in over 100 countries around the world.
Fashion Revolution Day began as a social media movement to bring attention to the clothing's devastating effects of fast fashion.
Two of the group Fashion Revolution's founders, Carry Somers and Orsola de Castro, invented the day. Castro was born in the United States.
