Not just a pie

Many of the grocery store shelves are stuffed with many seasonal pumpkin pie flavored items. We find the flavor in ice cream, pudding, coffee, lattes, cheesecake, pancakes, candy, and even beer. Advertisers everywhere promote pumpkin in their seasonal drinks and fragrances, all season long.

Pumpkin pie scents will be present in our homes, as candles, diffusers, and waxes. Our homes smell like a bakery for the first time before long.. Some of us haven't turned on the oven since June.

The pie brings back such fond memories, as well. In their seasonal poems, songs, and stories, writers and writers often include pumpkin pie. "Over the River and Through the Wood," Lydia Maria Child's "Over the River and Through the Wood," a 1844 Thanksgiving poem, includes pumpkin pie in one of its verses: "Hurrah for the fun!"
