National ferret day celebrations have a long tradition in the United States

National Ferret Day has been commemorated for decades by ferret enthusiasts. Recognition didn't arrive until 2014, when Carol Roche of New York and the American Ferret Association made it possible, but it wasn't until 2014. Chase's Calendar of Events officially recognized the observance at the time.
