International Bath Day
On June 14th, you can celebrate International Bath Day by filling up a lovely bath for your children. Bath time is a great time to explore and learn. They can easily test the waves of their water lab with just a few bath toys or simple plastic cups. With recent bath time discoveries, watch and see how every child becomes a little scientist.

The international bath day's history has a long tradition in the international bath day
Legend has it that Archimedes, a Greek mathematician, scientist, and scholar, discovered during a bath that an object's volume could be accurately measured by being submerged in water on this day. As he walked through Syracuse, Greece, Archimedes burst out of the bathtub and yelled, "Eureka, Euka!" as he sprinted through the streets. No one knows the exact date of Archimedes' birth. However, we do know he was born in the year 287BC. We commemorate the date he leapt out of the bathtub on June 14th, to honor Archimedes.
How was this date determined? According to the ancient Greek myth, it was exactly one week before the start of summer. The Greeks maintained an astronomical calendar in those days, and they established the seasons based on the Earth's rotational axis' tilt in relation to its orbit around the sun's 23.5 degrees. On June 21st, Summer began (then and today) on June 21st. The week leading up to June 14th is this week, and this was the date set.
