Mds World Awareness Day
Myelodysplastic syndromes are attracting worldwide notice on October 25th, MDS World Awareness Day (MDS). When the blood-forming cells in the bone marrow become abnormal, this rare group of blood cancers arises.
Bone marrow cells are present in certain bones and are present in blood-forming cells. Blood stem cells account for some of these blood-forming cells.. For the production of new blood cells, these kinds of cells are essential. Red cells, white cells, and platelets are among the three forms of blood cells that can be found in red cells, white cells, and platelets. MDS occurs as a result of a disruption in the production of new blood cells. Anemia is a common condition that results in a red blood cell shortage, which is often described as anemia. MDS progresses to a rapidly growing bone marrow cell tumor in some patients. AML is a form of acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
Up to 20,000 new cases of MDS are reported in the United States each year. According to the MDS Foundation, 170,000 people in the United States are currently living with MDS. About 87,000 new cases of MDS each year around the world.
