National Beer Day
Every year, National Beer Day honors the world's most popular alcoholic beverage. It is the third most popular drink overall, after water and tea.
Since cereal was first farmed in 9500 BC, one of the world's oldest prepared beverages, beer possibly dates back to 9500 BC. It is also recorded in ancient Iraq and ancient Egypt's written history.
Perhaps there's a porter or a Belgian in your glass. Whether yours is fermented or not, dark or pale, hoppy, smooth, or smooth, raise your mug. The first national beer day in history has been celebrated
As long as the volume remained below 4.0% alcohol by volume, President Franklin Roosevelt took the first step toward ending Prohibition and signing a bill that allowed people to brew and sell beer in the United States on April 7, 1933. Beer drinkers celebrated and were delighted to be able to buy beer again for the first time in thirteen years.
This day was proclaimed as National Beer Day by Justin Smith, a Richmond, Virginia Craft Beer Examiner, and his colleague Mike Connolly from Liverpool, England, according to our analysis. This dates corresponds to the date when the Cullen-Harrison Act was signed into law and became operational on April 7th. Smith and Connolly established a National Beer Day Facebook group in 2009. From this page, they invited friends to join, and word spread to many outlets. The word has spread to many websites.
