National Gay Men's HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NGMHAAD) raises awareness and raises the public's knowledge of this disease each year on the last Friday in September. The day also focuses on finding ways to prevent the disease.

History of national gay men's hiv/aids awareness day has a rich tradition.
The National Association of People with AIDS (NAPWA) launched this observance day in 2008 to highlight the disproportionate effects of the HIV epidemic on gay men.
