#nationalhandrollday

With vibrant color, taste, and texture, Japanese sushi hand rolls delight the senses.. Since every delicate hand roll is masterfully planned, the chef treats each one as a work of art. A delectable dip into soy adds to the perfect bite. We love to share hand rolls with friends over sake, wine, or a Japanese beer, whether it's spicy or sweet, or a combination of both.

Ideally, a hand roll is eaten right away and contains the freshest fish. Specially harvested seaweed, house-made sauces, and warm rice are also included in hand rolls. When all comes together, the final result is not only stunning but also incredibly delectable.

History of the national hand roll day has a rich tradition

National Hand Roll Day was established in Japan by the Sushi Nozawa Group, the group behind SUGARFISH, KazuNori, and Nozawa Bar, in honor of the hand roll and Chef Nozawa's introduction of the cylindrical-style hand roll to the United States over 40 years ago.

Sushi Nozawa Group opened KazuNori: The Original Hand Roll Bar in 2014 on the belief that the experience of eating hand rolls is truly unique and deserving of its own restaurant. KazuNori produces only the freshest fish, as well as specially harvested seaweed, house-made sauces, and signature warm rice, all with an unwavering dedication to quality. Guests dine at the counter while watching the chef make their hand rolls in each location. And most importantly, they love them when the seaweed is at its best.
