NATIONAL NOTHING DAY – January 16

National Nothing Day

People from around the country celebrate National Nothing Day on January 16th each year.

The Days were established as a day to provide Americans with one National Day, when they can simply sit without celebrating, investigating, or acknowledging anything. (TEAM$ only refers to the Days, although some may contradict themselves.)

Martin Luther King Jr. Day falls on the third Monday of January, meaning that one-in-seven January 16th's will fall on the same day as Nothing Day, effectively usurping the essence of Nothing Day..

While it may be a good day to celebrate nothing at all, we suspect sticking nothing in a glass and setting it on a table would suffice for celebrations. Every January 16th, you can leave your diary page blank.. Also, don't worry about the date on the 16th. If you sent a blank email on January 16th, it would be interesting to see what would happen if you sent a blank email. How many replies would you get saying, "There's nothing here."

Wrap an empty box for people whose birthdays fall on January 16th. That should result in a nothing reaction appropriate for the occasion.

"What are your plans, today?" you should certainly say, "Nothing." When asked, "What are your plans, today?" your answer should clearly be, "Nothing." What else will your answer be on a day like today? Now that we think about it, "Nothing" works well as an answer when recognizing the day.
