National Selfie Day

Thanks to social media and the smartphone, June 21st recognizes a certain degree of self-portrait that wouldn't exist without them; it's National Selfie Day. We are encouraged to take creative (appropriate) selfies and post them on social media.

Although taking a selfie may predate social media, smartphones, and the Oxford Dictionary, the popularity of taking these self-portraits continues to rise. And getting them is getting more convenient all the time. Selfie sticks and multi-functional camera phones make it all too convenient to photograph these kinds of photos as well as group selfies (aka groupies).

Selfies have become so common that the most common types of selfies are earning names for themselves.. Most of them are about capturing a moment in time, though some are simply a snapshot. After all, they are called "selfies" after all. They usually feature a single individual, and that's the person taking the picture.' However, not all of them are about the photographer. A few of them are worth checking out, and we've compiled a few of them.

Duck face selfie

The subject pulls out their lips almost as if planning an exaggerated kiss, but it turns into a duckbill instead. Hence, the duck face.

Car selfies

One of one's cars' seat is full of channels with videocasts originating from the seat of one's car. They're educational, helpful, political, and amusing. So, it shouldn't surprise us that car selfies are a thing..

Bathroom selfies

Where do we look our best? We're our best in the bathroom before the wind and strain of life hit us.

Pet selfies

Who do we love the most among our life partners? Our dogs are our pets. We take selfies of our cats, dogs, lizards, parrots, and many more animals.

Bestie selfie

Our besties may have a monopoly with pets for our affection. It depends on the individual. We take a lot of selfies with our besties, right? #BFF, right?

Foodie selfies

Why do we take selfies with food? We may be that it's so beautifully presented or it's our first time trying an exotic dish, and we want to record the event. Foodie selfies are a thing, no matter the reason.

Glamour selfie

We're often looking really, really good, other than the bathroom selfie. Good hair day.. The makeup is flawless, and you're set to impress. While you weren't fully dressed up to take a selfie (or did you? ), for some of us, the opportunity will not come around again. It's best to get some evidence.

Gym selfie

Speaking of looking our best, a gym selfie is often all that is needed to show progress. We're on a journey. "I haven't seen a gym selfie lately," our friends can also say, "Hey, I haven't seen a gym selfie lately." Are you slacking?" Are you slacking?"

Celebrity selfie

If you find yourself on the train, in a coffee shop, or just on the street, or even on the street, you're going to stop and ask for a selfie. These famous little selfies are making the rounds. These popular little selfies are everywhere.

Travel selfies

The Eiffel Tower in Eiffel Tower. The Grand Canyon or the Hollywood sign. Broadway lights are on display in Broadway. Selfies in front of these majestic destinations add to a traveler's collection.. They're like postcards to yourself.

Baby selfies

Baby selfies usually make us look good, whether they are with your children, grandchildren, or other people's children. We can't help but smile. We can effectively position them in front of our poor spots. They just enhance our overall character.

Tattoo selfie

Getting some ink is a big decision. Taking a selfie either while getting it or later is part of the process.
