On National Vet Girls RISE Day, not only is it a day to honor women veterans, but it is also a day for women veterans to help one another, share information, foster relationships, and raise concerns about the needs of women veterans.
Women have served in the armed forces since the Revolutionary War, and many have not been recognized for their service. The contributions of nearly 2 million women veterans are deserving of recognition today.. The day commemorates the friendships they established and their experiences with military service.
Military personnel and civilian life support transitioning from military to civilian life supports both their professional and personal fulfillment. Honoring their accomplishments, skills, and contributions both in the military and civilian industries has elevated the woman veteran's position to her proper position.

Vet Girls RISE, an initiative launched in 2017 by Active Veterans With Answers, is a program that began in 2017.
