Tolkien Reading Day is a favorite among fans of the renowned author. On March 25th, Tolkien Reading Day is celebrated around the world.
J.R. Tolkien (Jan. 3, 1892 – September 2, 1973) was an English writer, poet, philologist, and university professor. He was best known as the author of The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, and The Silmarrillion, as well as Roverandom and Farmer Giles of Ham. He was best known as the author of the classic books The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, and The Silmarrillion. However, he has written more than 30 books, many posthumously. More than 150 million copies of The Lord of the Rings trilogy have been sold, and the number continues to rise.
The day encourages readers of all ages to read J.R. Tolkien's books and learn more about the author. He had a lot to say, not just about hobbits, but many are on medieval order, with over 30 published works.

In 2003, the Tolkien Society was established to promote J.R. Tolkien's readings. The Tolkien Society was established in Tolkien's commemoration. They chose the date of March 25th because it matches the fall of Sauron in Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings.
