What is Independence Day?

For nearly two decades, the United States has been commemorating a day in history that inspires us today.. Communities around the country host speeches and ceremonies on July 4th. People from all around the country are packed for parades and festivals. City bunting, white, and blue bunting and flags are woven throughout the streets of many cities.

Families and friends also flock for some of the most delectable food – large picnics and barbecues, local fairs give a glimpse of culture and mother's home cooking. With so many people gathering in their hometowns, families, and school reunions taking place, many are converging on their hometowns, relatives, and school reunions.
