What is National Bourbon Day?
On June 14th, National Bourbon Day honors America's Official Spirit.
Bourbon must meet certain requirements and be produced in a specific geographic area in order to earn its name, such as Scotch, Cognac, and some other spirits. Bourbon is a whiskey that can only be described by the word when it is distilled in the United States. It can only be called by the word when it is distilled in the United States. For a distillery to legally identify their whiskey as "Bourbon," they must meet stringent requirements.
