Sir Hans Sloane, an Irish-born physician, invented the chocolatey drink in the late 1680s. Sloane jumped at the chance when offered the position of personal physician to an English Duke in Jamaica.. The naturalist in him, Jamaica, is attracted to him.
Sloane was in Jamaica when trying to find a local drink. The locals mixed cocoa and water together. However, when Sloane tried it, he found it to be nauseating. After some experiments, the doctor discovered a way to mix cocoa with milk. It was a more refreshing-tasting drink due to the creamy blend. Sloane returned to England with the chocolate recipe in hand years later.. Initially, apothecaries began to prepare the concoction as a medicine.
Chocolate milk enthusiasts enjoy their treat in a variety of ways. It can be purchased pre-mixed by the jug or individual serving. We can make it as chocolatey as we like at home thanks to a custom mix, powders, and syrups.
