The people who set out with the intention of being Gordon Ramsey or Julia Child as they open up the cookbook are Kitchen Klutzes. As they place the mixing bowl and ingredients on the counter, they imagine knife cuts as quick as Wolfgang Puck or Bobby Flay. However, fantasy quickly derails all those hopes as smoke billows from the oven, and they mistake salt for sugar.. Those knife cuts turn bloody, and cookies and fingers are scorched, so these knife cuts are bloody. Visions of spilled milk are pitifully cries over, and the Kitchen Klutz has struck, and tales of spilled milk are wretchedly cries.
When Kitchen Klutzes are around, it may be helpful to have a first aid kit and fire extinguisher on hand. If you are still hungry, be sure to dial 911 and have your favorite take-out on hand as a back-up plan.
