What is Social Media Day?
On June 30th, the annual Social Media Day is observed. Social media has changed how people communicate, communicate, and share with family, acquaintances, and the world in its short life.

Social media became mainstream with the introduction of Friendster in 2002 and MySpace in 2003. The founding of the king of social media, Facebook, took place in 2004. By posting our thoughts in fewer than 140 characters, we were encouraged to be succinct by posting our thoughts on Twitter. We can't express ourselves better through images, Instagram, and Flickr, but all the sharing we can handle is on display. On the 4th of July, YouTube is the social space for everything from how-to-pop culture to what not to do with your fireworks.
Social media makes it possible to stay connected and up-to-date about those important people in our lives. Reconnecting with classmates, former work associates, and others is also a valuable part of social media.. It has also made it possible to connect with ancestors and locate relatives that you never even knew existed. Yes, the family tree has grown to become a social media platform as well. MyHeritage.com, Ancestry.com, and several others, among other things, provide a social platform where distant family members can easily meet and build their family trees.
