What is World Piano Day?
Every year, World Piano Day unites piano enthusiasts around the world as they honor the king of musical instruments. The day also encourages piano players of all ages and abilities to play in public spaces.
In families, musical instruments are mixed together. It's very simple to determine which family the majority of instruments belong to. This is not the case with the piano, however. The piano is not the case here. Some believe it's a percussion instrument. Some believe it belongs to the string family. Many people will agree that the piano is unique in that it belongs to both families, according to many.
In 1700, Bartolomeo Cristofori of Italy invented the piano. "clavicembalo col piano e forte" was the first word to describe it. This can be compared to "a harpsichord that can play soft and loud sounds." Its name was eventually reduced to piano, and it was shortened to piano.
The piano evolved from one basic design to several different styles over the years. These include vertical, spinet, console, console, computer, recording, upright, digital, pianola (self-playing piano), grand, and baby grand. Pianos of these types of pianos are available in a variety of sizes.
