When is International Tiger Day?
Saturday July 29thOn July 29th, the International Tiger Day raises concerns about the declining numbers of the majority of the big cats' dwindling numbers.. At meetings aimed at a mechanism for protecting and improving their natural habitats, global leaders focuses on the tiger.
In Asia, 100,000 tigers roamed Asia 100 years ago. According to today, the estimated number brings the tiger population to fewer than 4,000 tigers in the wild. By 2022, one of the day's goals is to double that number by 2022. It's called the Tx2 Initiative. It's been called the Tx2 Initiative.
Every year, the Tx2 Initiative raises over $350 million to help save tigers. The money is spent on investigators and rangers who patrol for poachers. The fund also pays for wildlife conservation, research of their populations and movements, and even installs thousands of wildlife trail cameras.
