When is National Brownie Day?

The chocolate brownie is a favorite in the United States, with the blonde brownie coming in second, with the chocolate brownie coming in second. A blonde brownie is made with brown sugar and no chocolate, and is often described as a blondie.
The earliest brownies we are familiar with today are found in regional cookbooks and newspapers around the turn of the twentieth century. Three early examples include the 1904 Laconia, NH Home Cook Book, the 1904 Chicago, Illinois Service Club Cook Book, and The Boston Globe's April 2, 1905, 1905 edition. In 1906, Fannie Merritt Farmer published a recipe in an edition of The Boston Cooking School Cook Book.
The brownie's creation has gained traction over the years.
