Thursday November 2nd

Starting the week of Independence Day and ending with Hawaii. We feature a small portion of each states' past, foods, and the people who make up the state. Several states have their own state celebrations. There's so much more to explore that we can't help but celebrate our beautiful country even more.

NATIONAL OHIO DAY - November 2

In areas of Ohio, the remains of a civilization that made mounds can also be discovered. Kickapoo, Erie, and Shawnee were the key cities in Ohio by the time Europeans arrived on the continent.

This northern borderline in the United States features 312 miles of Lake Erie shoreline. Both an economic and recreational boon for Ohioans. It's also a natural resource. The consumable food and water it provides are priceless as the 12th world's largest lake.

Ohio has been known to look to the clouds, from the icy blue lakes to crystal clear sky.. If we recall the Wright Brothers' contribution to getting us there, the pilots who went there, the scientists who went there, want out observatories to investigate deeper, and of course, the astronauts who went where no one has gone before, Ohio keeps our heads in the clouds.

Ohio feeds the eyes and stomach from the cities to the countryside. Both adventurers and adventurers alike will find their home. It's all here for history buffs and collectors..
