When is World Cerebral Palsy Day?
Friday October 6thPeople with cerebral palsy (CP) and their families are acknowledged on World Cerebral Palsy Day (CP) every year. The day also shows support for the organisations that are spreading awareness and expressing pride in the accomplishments of those with CP. The day also shows appreciation for those with CP's efforts.
Intellectual palsy affects more than 17 million people in the world. 500,000 children in the United States have CP, making it the most common physical disorder in childhood. This non-progressive neurological disorder is usually the result of a lack of oxygen to the brain either before, during, or shortly after birth. Babies who were born prematurely are particularly vulnerable to cerebral palsy.
Cerebral palsy is present in a variety of forms. Some are more severe than others. Movement is restricted in any form of CP. Words and intellect are two other areas of growth that have been affected by language and intelligence. For example, one in four children with CP can't talk; one in four children with CP can't talk; one in two children has an intellectual disability. CP is a multi-year illness for which there is no cure.
Despite the limitations of this illness, children and adults alike have a lot to achieve. Here are a few of the celebrities. Here are a few of those people.
