History of world development information day is the case of a world economic development information day

In 1972, the United Nations established World Development Information Day. The Assembly decided to schedule the day to coincide with United Nations Day. Both days are observed on October 24th. This is the same date as 1970 when the United Nations Development Strategy for the Second United Nations Development Decade was adopted. This is the same date as the UN adopted the International Development Strategy for the Second United Nations Development Decade in 1970.
