The Radiographers Association of Madhya Pradesh in India has held a special radiography day since 1996. Since 2007, the International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technicians has celebrated World Radiography Day. They selected the date of November 8th to commemorate the date in 1895 when X-rays were first discovered in 1895.
