WORLD REFUGEE DAY

The date is June 20 on World Refugee Day. Around the world, the day is dedicated to raising concerns of the refugee crisis.

According to "a well-founded fear of persecution due to his/her ethnicity, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion," a refugee flees his or her homeland and country.

According to the World Economic Forum, one out of every 113 people on the planet is now a refugee. Around the world, someone is displaced every three seconds, and persecution is pushed from their homes by violence, war, and persecution.

People are refugees within their own country, with 40.3 million being people displaced within their own country. 40.3 million are people displaced within their own country.

People who have migrated to another country, including 22.5 million, have left the country.

According to the United Nations Refugee Agency, the most notable sources of refugees are Syria, Afghanistan, and Sudan.
